My faith is something that is very important to me. I grew up in a church and am now currently working part-time at Lighthouse Community Church. I am in charge of the sound equipment and running the livestream every Sunday morning.
I am also a sports instructor at Crossroads YMCA and work primarily with grade school children. I am responsible for officiating youth sports programs • Including but not limited to; Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, T-ball, Dodgeball, and Football.
I am excited to be one of a select group of students that have been chosen to represent the student body in the task of choosing a new team name and mascot.
TF South had a Rebels mascot for many years and after much deliberation the school decided to renounce the Rebels name and instead come up with one that is not offensive and unifying the TF South Community.
"We set out to find a team name that represents modern-day Thornton Fractional South in an inclusive and dynamic way." The new name will:
* Unify the TF South community
* Represents positive qualities, ideals, or associations around which people can rally
* Holds broad relevance across the TF South Community, student body, and among generations of alumni
* Represents the TF South experience and/or history, either generally or specifically
* Works equally well for women's and men's sports teams
* Has the potential to translate in a visually pleasing manner
Captains Club is a group of student athletes that are recognized as leaders within the school. This club was formed with captains from each of the sports teams with the goal to provide character development, improve leadership, and student involvement in the community. The club meets about once a month with the goals of improving themselves as leaders, improving the TF South Athletic Department and committing to improving the TF South community through community service efforts.Caleb is the lone representative for the Basketball program at TF South.
The major goal of the Future Teacher Club is to assist high school students in exploring teaching as a career choice. The Club provides an authentic understanding of teaching and – most importantly – encourage students from diverse backgrounds to think seriously about the teaching profession. Caleb has been involved in this club and was a part of the Future Teacher's summer institute in 2021 and 2022.
